I’m Sandra, a philosophy student from Germany, and I’m interested in the room as I’ll be starting the Philosophy of Science, Technology and Society program at the University of Twente this September.
I plan to move to Enschede in August and I’d really love to live in a group where there’s more going on than just sharing a kitchen - something social, where people actually know each other a bit and maybe even spend time together every now and then. The idea of being part of a shared space where you meet new people, feel at home, help each other and enjoy daily life together really appeals to me.
I'm 36, which might be a bit older than the typical student, but in my experience, age doesn’t matter much when people get along. In fact, I’ve found that having a bit more life experience can be a real plus when it comes to sharing a space - I know how to avoid many usual flat mate frustrations.
I enjoy good conversation - whether it’s about random everyday stuff or deep philosophical questions. In the little free time that studies allow, I like hanging out with friends, going for a walk, or getting some exercise to balance all the thinking.
As you might expect from a philosophy student, I’m open-minded, respectful, and always curious to learn from others. I’d love to be part of a friendly, welcoming group – which you seem to be.
